Trinity 5000 starts its summer series
Runners who try to stay in racing condition during the hot days of summer have several options. Two of the longest running summer series are the The Jogger 5K series at Bachman Lake in Dallas that began in May, and the Trinity 5000 that began June 4 at the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth. Also, Run Time Racing Service will begin a Twilight Trilogy at Heritage Park (on the Trinity trails near downtown) on Monday, June 8. The Trinity 5000, besides its 5K, has a free 1K for 11-younger runners/walkers, providing a cheap way for kids to enjoy some summer exercise. Several runners also stick around at these summer events to visit with their friends, with many bringing their favorite drinks. All the events provide fun, competition and camaraderie.
