Teen wins Mote in Motion Half
Participants in the Fort Worth Runners Club Mote in Motion Half Marathon take off Sunday morning (Nov. 18). Please visit later for a more pictures of the inaugural event. The half and relay replaced the club's 15-mile run. Dillion Williams (left), an 18-year-old freshman at McMurry University in Abilene, won the men's race in 1:21:32 despite slowing the last couple of miles because of stomach problems. Fiona Green of Keller won the women's division in 1:32:32. Williams, who was far in front of his nearest competitor, said he slowed to an 8:22 final mile because of the stomach woes, which he said felt like a pulled muscle. Fiona was somewhat perplexed that her time was about a minute slower than at the DRC Half in Dallas on Nov. 4 because the Dallas course has more hills.See the results.
