Word from the Wise
The Last Year
By H.B. Wise
Our first anniversary of "running" CRC came and went in February. As we have mentioned previously things have moved a little more slowly than we anticipated (OK, a LOT slower), but overall we are pleased with what we have accomplished over the last year.
In March we published our first book review. Gray Pulver gave us a look at Marathon Man by Bill Rodgers and Matthew Shepatin. Gary has also started to submit some race reports that bring his unique perspective to how things look out there. We are looking forward to more of both from Gary.
We also launched a new column by Brad Kelley. Brad is a Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) survivor that has not only overcome the obstacle of a life changing disease, but has smashed through it! He is competing in triathlons and living his life to be an inspiration to others. Read about his journey in his monthly column as he trains for one of his major goals, competing in the 2017 Ironman in Kona, Hawaii.
There is a possibility of adding a couple of more columnists in the next couple of months. We are looking forward to columns on trail running and a para-athlete has agreed to contributing a column from his perspective.
As always, if you have story ideas email us and we can talk about it. Until next time enjoy your run and remember you can do it!
