March 13 -- Impossible Possibilities St. Patrick's Day Festival 5K, 1-Mile. Trinity Park, Fort Worth. Fees: $20 ($15 for 65-older) by Feb. 24; $25 after. Team fee (5 adults-plus): $15 each by March 4; $10 1-mile kids' run by March 4; $25 after; $30 on race day for everyone. March 13 -- St. Paddy's Day Dash Down Greenville, 8:30 a.m., Dallas. See website.
March 20 -- 2nd Annual Granbury Road Race 10K, 5K, Granbury Resort Conference Center & Boardwalk, 621 East Pearl Street. Fees: $25 by Feb. 27; $30 after. Start: 8 a.m. Walkers are welcome for this event that will benefit the non-profit Hannah's House Supervised Visitation and Exchange Center with a portion of the proceeds. T-shirts guaranteed to the first 500 entrants. Students in grades K-12 will get a fee of $15 if they use a paper registration form. Courses include tours near Granbury lake, through bed and breakfast district, alongside the historic Granbury courthouse and through the city park. Afterward enjoy the party at the Historic Granbury Square with General Granbury's Birthday Celebration. Showers will be available at the Hood County YMCA, 833 Harbor Lakes Drive. Bring you own towel. March 21 -- FWRC's March Madness, 5K, 8 a.m., Pavilion #3, Trinity Park, Fort Worth. Fees: $8 for members; $12 others. See website.
March 27 -- The Shack presents Joe's Run 10K, 5K, Hemphill and Rosedale, Fort Worth. Fees -- $18 through March 13; $20 after; $25 race day. Teams of five or more (fee per person) -- $15. Starting times: 10K at 8 a.m.; 5K at 8:30 a.m. Joe's Run is celebrating the 13th edition of the event that previously was Run To Joe's. Participants receive a colorful Joe's T-shirt plus, after the race, they'll enjoy food from several vendors, and soft drinks. Children's activities also are scheduled. Colorful hand-carved parrot trophies will be presented to the overall and masters male and female winners, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Joe's Run also is host for the second leg of the The Shack Corporate Challenge. Teams that competed in The Cowtown 5K or 10K are eligible. The team with the most finishers and the fastest teams for the two events will receive The Shack awards. Proceeds benefit the Samaritan House. See website.

April 24 -- Hound Dog Hustle 5K, 1-Mile, Oak Grove Park, Grapevine. Fees: 1-Mile & 5K -- Students (18-under), $12 by April 20, $20 after; 5K adults -- $18 by April 20 for LGRAW members, $25 after; 5K and 1-Mile for non-members -- $20 by April 20, $25 after. Race day registration begins at 6:30 a.m.; 5K start -- 8 a.m.; 1-Mile Fun Run and dog walk start -- 8:45 a.m. Awards begin at 9 a.m. 7 a.m.-11 a.m. -- Dog and Vendor Expo, and a Dog-Adopt-Thon. May 8 -- Buffalo Boogie 5K & 1-Mile Fun run and Walk, 8 a.m., Fort Worth Nature Center. 5K chip-timed on a USATF certified course. Bring your dogs for the 5K or 1-mile fun run/walk and join competitive runners in the chip-timed 5K. School groups and families will be among the participants who will enjoy the scenic course at the nature center. Be sure to take a glimpse of the bison and other animals and birds that might be watching you. Fees: $17 before May 2; $20 after; $25 race day. Family or group of three or more: $15 per person before May 2; $20 after; $25 race day. School (K-12): $12 before May 2; $15 after; $25 race day. Dog: $5. Military receives 10 percent off with the code USMILUS. Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 6 a.m. Pre-race packet pickup TBA. Starting times: 1-mile -- 7:30 a.m.; half marathon--7:45 a.m.; 10K -- 8 a.m. Awards begin at 9:30 a.m. for the 10K and 1-mile and 10 a.m. for the half. Bands, food, drinks, etc., will make for an exciting morning besides helping raise funds for the Semper Fi Fund, which provides assistance to Marines and Sailors injured in post 9-11 combat.
